Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean insurance claims to maximize reimbursement rates
- Resolve billing discrepancies and patient account inquiries within SLAs
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific regulations
- Generate monthly reports on billing performance and denial trends
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document charge-capture accuracy
- Conduct account reconciliations and AR aging analysis
- Train staff on billing best practices and system updates
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR/billing systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel/SQL
- Ability to manage high-volume accounts with 99% accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for patient/payer interactions
- Experience with RCM cycle and denial management workflows
