Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 95% accuracy rate
- Resolve billing discrepancies through payer communication and documentation
- Manage accounts receivable aging reports and follow-up protocols
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all billing operations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to verify patient eligibility and benefits
- Generate monthly billing reports for financial analysis
- Train staff on billing system updates and process improvements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with CPT/ICD-10 coding
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EMR systems
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial payer policies
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential preferred
- Advanced Excel skills with data visualization capabilities
