Responsibilities
- Process and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Resolve billing discrepancies and claim denials through rigorous research and follow-up
- Manage patient billing statements, payment plans, and collections processes
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and insurance regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to verify coding and documentation accuracy
- Generate monthly billing reports and identify process improvement opportunities
- Train staff on billing software updates and policy changes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Proficiency in Epic, Medisoft, or similar billing software systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with denial management and appeals processes
