Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile complex medical insurance claims and patient invoices
- Resolve billing discrepancies through direct communication with insurance providers
- Ensure HIPAA-compliant handling of sensitive patient financial data
- Generate monthly billing reports and analyze aging accounts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize billing workflows
- Train staff on billing software updates and compliance requirements
- Conduct quarterly audits to identify billing inefficiencies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with insurance claim submission
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR billing systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Exceptional problem-solving skills for claim denials and appeals
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP and pivot table functions
- Experience with Medicaid/Medicare billing regulations
