Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile insurance claims with 99% accuracy across multiple payers
- Manage accounts receivable aging reports and initiate collection protocols
- Resolve billing discrepancies through direct communication with patients and insurers
- Utilize Epic and NextGen systems for charge entry and payment posting
- Generate monthly revenue reports for leadership review
- Train staff on billing compliance updates and best practices
- Conduct regular audits to ensure HIPAA and CMS compliance
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Expert proficiency in billing software (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Deep knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with complex claim denials
- Ability to maintain 95%+ clean claim ratio
- Strong Excel skills with pivot table experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
