Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing operations including invoice generation, submission, and payment tracking
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers and resolve billing discrepancies with precision
- Collaborate with insurance providers and patients to verify coverage and resolve payment issues
- Implement billing process improvements using ERP systems (Epic or Cerner experience preferred)
- Ensure HIPAA/GAAP compliance in all billing documentation and reporting
- Generate monthly billing reports and analyze trends for financial forecasting
- Train staff on billing protocols and new regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of medical or commercial billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Expertise in CPT/ICD-10 coding and claim submission processes
- Advanced proficiency in billing software (e.g., Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for complex financial data
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) preferred
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions and cross-departmental collaboration
