Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 95% accuracy within strict deadlines
- Resolve billing discrepancies through meticulous account reconciliation and payer communication
- Generate monthly AR reports and aging analysis for financial leadership review
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure charge capture compliance and documentation accuracy
- Implement CPT/ICD-10 coding updates and regulatory changes to maintain compliance
- Train staff on billing software best practices and process improvements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expertise in Epic, Athenahealth, or NextGen billing systems
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
- Demonstrated success with denial management and appeals processes
- Strong HIPAA compliance knowledge and audit experience
