- Manage end-to-end revenue cycle operations including charge entry, claim submission, and payment posting
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies through direct communication with insurance payers and patients
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and private payer regulations
- Generate monthly reports on key performance metrics (A/R days, denial rates, collection percentages)
- Train staff on billing software updates and process improvements
- Conduct quarterly audits of patient accounts for accuracy and completeness
- Collaborate with clinical departments to optimize charge capture workflows
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Advanced proficiency in Epic Resolute and Athenahealth systems
- Expert knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines
- Proven track record of reducing denial rates by 25%+
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or Finance preferred
