Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 95%+ accuracy
- Resolve billing discrepancies through patient/provider communication
- Manage accounts receivable and aging reports
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Utilize Epic EMR system for charge entry and coding
- Collaborate with collections team on overdue accounts
- Generate monthly billing analytics for department review
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience required
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) preferred
- Proficient in CPT/ICD-10 coding standards
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot table expertise
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities
- Experience with claim denials appeals process
- Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance in all interactions
