As our Billing Specialist, you will be the bridge between our clients and their financial obligations, ensuring compliance and maintaining strong relationships.
Responsibilities
- Process high-volume invoices and billing statements accurately and within established deadlines.
- Reconcile accounts receivable and identify discrepancies to resolve outstanding balances.
- Maintain precise billing records and generate monthly financial reports.
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding billing inquiries, past due accounts, and payment arrangements.
- Ensure strict compliance with state and federal financial regulations, including HIPAA where applicable.
- Assist the finance team during month-end close processes and audits.
- Update patient/client information in billing software and databases.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in billing, accounts receivable, or medical billing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential) and billing software (e.g., QuickBooks, Meditech, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot errors in complex data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
