Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing cycles for healthcare clients using Epic EMR systems
- Resolve billing discrepancies and insurance claim denials within SLA timelines
- Generate monthly revenue reports and analyze aging accounts receivable
- Collaborate with medical coding teams to ensure accurate CPT/ICD-10 assignment
- Implement process improvements to reduce claim rejection rates
- Train staff on billing compliance and HIPAA regulations
- Conduct quarterly audits of billing documentation
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Proficiency in Epic Resolute and Centricity billing platforms
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or equivalent credential
- Expert knowledge of CMS 1500 and UB-04 claim forms
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP and pivot table capabilities
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to resolve complex billing conflicts under pressure
- Familiarity with Tennessee Medicaid billing protocols
