Responsibilities
- Process and submit accurate insurance claims with 95%+ accuracy rate
- Reconcile patient accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
- Communicate with insurance providers and patients regarding payment issues
- Utilize Epic EMR and NextGen billing systems for daily operations
- Generate monthly billing reports for financial analysis
- Train new staff on billing protocols and compliance standards
- Ensure HIPAA and ACA compliance in all billing processes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Expertise in CPT/ICD-10 coding and insurance verification
- Proficient in Epic EMR and NextGen billing software
- Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) preferred
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience with AR aging reports and denial management
