Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing processes for multi-specialty medical practices
- Verify insurance eligibility and process complex claims across government/private payers
- Reconcile accounts receivable and resolve payment discrepancies
- Analyze billing data to identify trends and process improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate charge documentation
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and state billing regulations
- Train staff on billing systems and coding updates
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration, accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with complex insurance systems
- Certification in CPC, CPC-H, or CCS preferred
- Expertise in Epic, Medisoft, or similar EHR billing modules
- Advanced knowledge of CPT/HCPCS codes and ICD-10
- Proficient in MS Excel and data analysis tools
- Demonstrated success in reducing AR days and denial rates
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
