Responsibilities
- Cash Handling: Accurately process daily transactions, including cash deposits, withdrawals, and check cashing, ensuring all funds are accounted for to the penny.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to customers by answering inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor at the teller line.
- Account Management: Assist customers with account opening, closures, and basic inquiries, referring complex matters to the Relationship Bankers when necessary.
- Compliance & Security: Adhere to strict banking regulations, security protocols, and Know Your Customer (KYC) guidelines to prevent fraud and money laundering.
- Product Promotion: Identify cross-selling opportunities and introduce customers to our suite of financial products, such as savings accounts and loans.
- Problem Solving: Handle customer complaints and transaction errors efficiently and diplomatically to maintain high satisfaction scores.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Finance or Business preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in retail banking, customer service, or cash handling is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong proficiency with cash registers, ATMs, and bank software systems (e.g., FIS, TellerView).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts simply.
- Integrity: Unwavering commitment to ethical standards, confidentiality, and financial accuracy.
- Availability: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by branch needs.
