Responsibilities
- Process daily customer transactions, including cash deposits, withdrawals, and check cashing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all bank regulations.
- Build rapport with clients by identifying their financial needs and recommending appropriate products and services to help them achieve their goals.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure teller workstation at all times, adhering to all branch operational standards.
- Assist in branch operations, including opening and closing the vault, managing cash drawers, and balancing daily settlements.
- Utilize the core banking system to update customer account information and document transactions accurately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; prior experience in a customer service or banking role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to count currency accurately and perform mental math efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly to diverse customers.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with the utmost confidentiality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Basic computer proficiency and typing speed (30+ WPM).
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
