Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
- Greet customers warmly and provide superior customer service at the teller window and over the phone.
- Cash checks, verify identification, and maintain accurate cash drawers at the end of every shift.
- Refer customers to appropriate bank officers for financial products, investment opportunities, and services.
- Assist with opening new accounts, explaining banking policies, and processing applications.
- Adhere to all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and anti-money laundering (AML) compliance regulations.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional and timely manner to ensure high retention.
- Collaborate with the branch team to meet daily sales and service goals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business preferred.
- Previous experience as a Bank Teller or in customer service is preferred but not required (comprehensive training provided).
- Strong numerical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle cash handling with 100% accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with banking software (e.g., FIS, Jack Henry) is a plus.
- Must be bondable and pass a background check and credit check.
