Responsibilities
- Cash Management: Accurately process cash and check transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments, ensuring all balances reconcile to the penny.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries regarding accounts and services, and resolve issues efficiently to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Product Sales: Identify cross-selling opportunities for our banking products, such as debit cards, savings accounts, and credit cards, while adhering to regulatory compliance.
- Document Handling: Verify and accurately complete all necessary forms, such as currency transaction reports and new account paperwork, in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- ATM Maintenance: Monitor and replenish ATM supplies, ensure the ATM is in working order, and perform regular cash counts.
- Relationship Building: Build long-term relationships with clients by understanding their financial goals and providing personalized service.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience as a bank teller or in a customer service role is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong math skills and the ability to perform mental calculations quickly and accurately.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse client base.
- Technology: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and bank management software (e.g., FIS, Jack Henry).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Basic understanding of banking regulations, KYC (Know Your Customer), and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) practices.
