Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Accurately and efficiently handle cash deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments for customers.
- Customer Service: Provide superior service by answering inquiries, resolving account issues, and referring customers to appropriate banking products.
- Cash Management: Maintain accurate daily cash drawers, balance cash at the end of the shift, and prepare daily reports for management.
- Sales Support: Identify cross-selling opportunities to offer savings accounts, credit cards, and personal loans to meet branch targets.
- Compliance: Adhere to all bank policies, regulatory requirements, and security protocols to prevent fraud and ensure compliance.
- Operations: Assist in opening new accounts, processing loan applications, and maintaining the lobby environment.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Finance or Business preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience as a bank teller or in customer service with cash handling responsibilities is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong math skills with the ability to count cash accurately under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Integrity: A high level of trustworthiness and ethical conduct regarding sensitive financial information.
- Technology: Proficiency with point-of-sale systems, ATMs, and core banking software.
