Responsibilities
- Process Financial Transactions: Accurately handle cash deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments for all customers.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries regarding account balances and products, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Cash Management: Maintain accurate daily cash drawers, balance transactions, and adhere to strict cash handling procedures.
- Security Compliance: Verify customer identification, follow all bank security protocols, and detect any fraudulent activity.
- Product Promotion: Identify opportunities to cross-sell banking products such as savings accounts, CDs, and credit cards.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with branch operations, including opening and closing duties, and filing.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Finance or Business is a plus.
- Experience: Previous cash handling or customer service experience is preferred but not required (we provide on-the-job training).
- Skills: Strong math skills and the ability to handle large sums of money with high accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, organized, and capable of working a flexible schedule including weekends.
- Certifications: Must pass a background check and a credit check as per bank policy.
