Responsibilities
- Handle Daily Transactions: Process customer transactions accurately, including cash deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing.
- Customer Engagement: Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries regarding account balances and services, and resolve complaints with a problem-solving mindset.
- Cash Management: Maintain accurate cash drawers, balance daily transactions, and ensure the vault is secure and properly reconciled.
- Product Promotion: Identify opportunities to cross-sell banking products such as savings accounts, CDs, and credit cards to meet customer financial goals.
- Compliance & Security: Adhere strictly to all bank policies, security protocols, and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., AML, KYC).
- Account Maintenance: Assist in opening new accounts and completing necessary paperwork for existing clients.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required; Associate’s degree in Finance or Business is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in retail banking, cash handling, or customer service is highly preferred.
- Math Skills: Strong aptitude for mathematics with a high level of accuracy in handling cash and figures.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Technology: Proficiency with point-of-sale systems, bank software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Soft Skills: A friendly demeanor, patience, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
