Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including cashing checks, accepting deposits, and processing withdrawals.
- Greet customers warmly and provide superior customer service by answering inquiries regarding accounts and services.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) terminal and ATM to facilitate daily banking needs.
- Balance cash drawers and reconcile daily transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and introduce customers to new banking products and services.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area at the teller line.
- Adhere to all banking regulations, compliance policies, and security procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; additional coursework in finance or business is a plus.
- Previous experience as a Bank Teller or in a customer service role within the financial services industry is preferred.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to handle cash transactions with 100% accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, including Windows and point-of-sale software.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must pass a background check and credit check as required by banking regulations.
