Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Accurately handle a high volume of daily transactions, including cash deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving account issues with empathy and efficiency.
- Accuracy & Compliance: Balance the teller drawer daily to ensure accuracy and strictly adhere to all banking regulations and security protocols.
- Sales & Service: Cross-sell bank products and services (e.g., debit cards, CDs, credit cards) to meet branch targets and help customers achieve their financial goals.
- Operational Support: Assist with opening new accounts, processing mail, and maintaining a clean, organized branch environment.
- Problem Solving: Identify and escalate complex customer issues to management while attempting to resolve them at the counter level.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associateās degree in Finance or Business is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Bank Teller, Cashier, or in a customer service role is preferred but not required for enthusiastic candidates.
- Skills: Strong mathematical aptitude and the ability to perform arithmetic quickly and accurately.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts in simple terms.
- Computer Proficiency: Must be comfortable using Windows-based computer systems and point-of-sale (POS) terminals.
- Attributes: Attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
