As a Bank Teller, you will be the face of our bank, responsible for handling daily transactions, assisting customers with their financial needs, and identifying cross-selling opportunities. We offer a comprehensive training program, competitive benefits, and a supportive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Accurately handle cash deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments while maintaining strict adherence to bank policies and security protocols.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries regarding accounts and services, and resolve issues efficiently to ensure a positive banking experience.
- Cross-Selling: Proactively identify opportunities to recommend and sell our suite of financial products, including savings accounts, CDs, and credit cards.
- Account Management: Balance cash drawers daily and reconcile transactions to ensure accuracy and audit compliance.
- Compliance: Adhere to all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, including proper identification verification.
- Problem Solving: Assist in resolving complex customer service issues and escalate matters to the Branch Manager when necessary.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Finance or Business preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in retail banking, customer service, or cash handling is highly preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Math Skills: Strong aptitude for mathematics and the ability to perform calculations with high accuracy under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse clientele.
- Technology: Proficiency with computers and point-of-sale (POS) systems; quick learner of new banking software.
- Reliability: Must be bondable and capable of working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
