Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions efficiently, including cashing checks, handling deposits, processing withdrawals, and loan payments.
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to build long-lasting relationships.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding account balances, products, and services with patience and professionalism.
- Balance cash drawers daily and reconcile transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with banking regulations.
- Identify sales opportunities to cross-sell bank products, such as credit cards, savings accounts, and investment options.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and secure branch environment.
- Utilize the bank's core banking software to update customer records and process complex transactions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a bank teller or in a customer service role is preferred but not mandatory (comprehensive training provided).
- Strong math skills and a high level of attention to detail are essential.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to pass a background check and credit check as required by banking regulations.
