Responsibilities
- Handle Cash Transactions: Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and cash checks with strict accuracy and adherence to security protocols.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries, and resolve issues efficiently to ensure a positive banking experience.
- Product Sales: Proactively identify opportunities to cross-sell savings accounts, credit cards, and other financial products to meet branch targets.
- Cash Management: Maintain and balance the cash drawer daily, ensuring all counts reconcile and report discrepancies immediately.
- Administrative Tasks: Update customer records in the banking system, open new accounts, and assist with daily branch operations.
- Security Compliance: Adhere to all federal and state banking regulations, including Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Finance or Business preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience as a bank teller or in a customer service role handling cash is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong math skills with the ability to calculate percentages and handle complex transactions; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and banking software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Integrity: Demonstrated trustworthiness, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Availability: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by branch needs.
