Responsibilities
- Cash Management: Accurately handle cash deposits, withdrawals, and payments while ensuring all cash counts balance to the penny.
- Customer Service: Greet members warmly, answer inquiries, and resolve issues efficiently to ensure a positive banking experience.
- Product Sales: Promote and cross-sell our suite of financial products, including savings accounts, loans, and credit cards, to meet branch goals.
- Transaction Processing: Verify and process checks, wires, and other financial instruments with strict adherence to compliance regulations.
- Problem Resolution: Assist members with account troubleshooting and escalate complex issues to the appropriate department.
- Security Compliance: Adhere to all bank security protocols, including Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in finance or related field is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience as a bank teller or in a cash-handling role is preferred but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in basic arithmetic and cash handling; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Software: Comfortable learning and using core banking software and point-of-sale systems.
- Attributes: High attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Legal: Must be able to pass a background check and a credit check (where applicable).
