Apex Financial Solutions is seeking a motivated Entry Level Accounts Payable Clerk to join our growing team in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining our financial health by processing invoices, managing vendor payments, and ensuring accuracy in our accounting records. We offer a comprehensive training program designed for professionals with little to no experience.
Responsibilities
- Process and verify incoming invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Match purchase orders to invoices (3-way matching) to ensure proper payment authorization.
- Maintain and organize a digital and physical filing system for all financial documents.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments to resolve billing inquiries.
- Assist in the month-end closing process and prepare financial reports.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) to update records.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Business preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles is a plus.
