Responsibilities
- Invoice Processing: Accurately receive, verify, and code invoices according to company policies and accounting standards.
- Payment Management: Process payments via ACH, wire transfers, and checks within agreed-upon terms to avoid late fees.
- Vendor Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries regarding invoices, credits, and account status.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly AP aging reports and variance analysis.
- System Management: Maintain and update the AP database, ensuring all records are up-to-date and audit-ready.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting roles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) is highly desirable.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to detect errors and ensure data accuracy in high-volume processing.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate and resolve disputes.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment.
