Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy, completeness, and authorization according to company policies.
- Code invoices to the correct general ledger accounts and expense categories.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or billing errors promptly.
- Manage the full AP cycle, including data entry, payment processing, and check issuance.
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment status, inquiries, and billing disputes.
- Assist with the month-end close process, including accruals and financial reporting support.
- Maintain and organize AP files, both electronic and physical, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-4 years of proven experience in Accounts Payable or General Accounting.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or QuickBooks) is highly desirable.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) is a must.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and internal control procedures.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume transactions without errors.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
