Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness before payment authorization.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Manage the AP general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments regarding billing inquiries.
- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes and financial reporting.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to manage payment schedules.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of verifiable experience in Accounts Payable or a related finance role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP are a plus).
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and basic accounting practices.
- Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data entry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
