Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain and update the general ledger by recording daily entries and performing monthly close activities.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and variance analysis for management review.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements monthly to ensure all discrepancies are resolved.
- Prepare and send invoices to clients and manage the payment collection process.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end audit preparations by organizing and filing financial documentation.
- Respond to employee and vendor inquiries regarding billing and account status in a professional manner.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, GAAP, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
