Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with GAAP compliance
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and general ledger reconciliations
- Lead month-end closing processes and variance analysis
- Develop financial models for forecasting and budgeting initiatives
- Collaborate with North Carolina teams on cross-regional financial reporting
- Implement process improvements using accounting software (QuickBooks/NetSuite)
- Ensure SOX compliance and internal control documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software platforms
- Strong understanding of tax regulations and financial reporting standards
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional financial projects
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with multi-state operations (NC/OH preferred)
- Professional certification (CPA, CMA, or CIA) required
