Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily accounts payable and receivable operations, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Perform monthly and annual bank reconciliations to ensure all accounts are balanced and discrepancies are resolved immediately.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports for management review.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax filings and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (GAAP/IFRS).
- Conduct regular audits of financial data and internal controls to prevent fraud and error.
- Process payroll data and assist in the administration of employee benefits.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop budgets and forecasts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping within a corporate environment.
- Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel (Advanced: VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), and other financial software.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and tax compliance regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect discrepancies in financial data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
