Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual audits, coordinating with external auditors as required.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax filings and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis to support management decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or a related financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems) and MS Excel (pivot tables, vlookups).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
