Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of local and federal tax filings and internal audit support.
- Monitor budget performance and provide detailed variance analysis to management.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) to maintain accurate digital records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA designation is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and complex formulas.
- Demonstrated experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
