The Role
As an Accountant, you will be the backbone of our financial operations. You will ensure our books are balanced, our reports are accurate, and our compliance standards are met. This is a critical role for our immediate growth phase.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss reports.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and ensure timely submission.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure all invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time.
- Ensure strict adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and internal financial controls.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve reporting efficiency and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Support external auditors during annual reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience (preferred).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification or active CPA candidate status is a plus.
- Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
