Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and manage general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with high attention to detail.
- Conduct variance analysis to help management make informed financial decisions.
- Maintain and update fixed asset schedules and assist in internal and external audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and macros.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex financial data clearly.
