Role Overview
As our Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. This is a pivotal role for someone looking to make a significant contribution to a forward-thinking organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and general ledger reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and GAAP standards.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings.
- Perform variance analysis and assist in budget preparation processes.
- Conduct internal audits and implement internal controls to mitigate risk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- 2-5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred but not required for exceptional candidates.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
