Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and general ledger maintenance.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and GAAP.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial reporting processes and internal controls.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
