The Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This is a critical position requiring a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong commitment to accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all discrepancies are resolved timely.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax filings and audits.
- Monitor budgets and provide variance analysis to management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA certification preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
