The Role
We are looking for a proactive individual to manage the full cycle of accounting operations. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial health and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions to senior management.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts, resolving any discrepancies immediately.
- Collaborate with the external audit team to facilitate a smooth and efficient audit process.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all supporting documentation is organized and accessible.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate finance environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax compliance requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with clients and stakeholders.
