Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Financial Operations: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, for review by senior management.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
- Payroll Processing: Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for the night shift workforce, ensuring compliance with labor laws.
- Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors by providing necessary documentation and schedules during audits.
- Compliance: Ensure all accounting practices adhere to GAAP and company internal controls.
- Expense Management: Review and approve employee expense reports and invoices for accuracy and policy compliance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or Microsoft Excel (advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is essential.
- Availability: Must be available to work the Night Shift (e.g., 5:00 PM - 2:00 AM or similar).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to detect errors and ensure high data accuracy in financial records.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting to management.
- Software: Familiarity with ERP systems is highly desirable.
