As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time. You will manage the full-cycle payroll process, handle complex tax filings, and maintain strict compliance with federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end payroll process for a diverse workforce, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for every pay period.
- Process payroll deductions, garnishments, and reimbursements while adhering to local and federal regulations.
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax returns with the Missouri Department of Revenue and IRS.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies, answer employee inquiries regarding pay stubs and tax documents, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with the HR team to update employee records, maintain compliance with labor laws, and assist with benefits administration.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data to identify errors and implement process improvements.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in payroll processing, benefits administration, or a related financial role.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll laws, including FLSA, FICA, and Unemployment Insurance.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, or Ceridian) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential).
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive financial data with complete confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts to non-financial staff.
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
