Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Reconciliation: Perform high-level bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Payroll Administration: Manage payroll processing, ensuring all tax filings and compliance requirements are met timely.
- Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and coordinate with external auditors.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the budgeting process and provide variance analysis to leadership.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: 3+ years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), and ERP systems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
