Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including daily journal entries and reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Payroll Administration: Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring all withholdings and deductions are correct.
- Tax Preparation: Assist with year-end tax filings and ensure all tax documentation is organized and filed promptly.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Monitor accounts payable receivable, resolve discrepancies, and manage vendor relationships.
- Internal Audits: Assist external auditors during the annual audit process by providing requested documentation and explanations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional accounting experience.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), and ERP systems.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure data accuracy in high-volume environments.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff and management.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of federal and state tax regulations.
- Time Management: Ability to meet tight deadlines during month-end and year-end close cycles.
