Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations for bank accounts and credit card statements.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Maintain and update the general ledger system using accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage.
- Conduct audits and assist external auditors during the annual review process.
- Prepare budget reports and provide financial insights to management to support decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 1-3 years of professional accounting experience is preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate status is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
