Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Ledger: Oversee general ledger accounting, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all discrepancies are resolved and financial data is consistent.
- Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns, including W-2s and 1099s.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and cost-saving opportunities for the organization.
- Compliance: Maintain accurate records and ensure all financial processes adhere to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain high accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment with tight deadlines.
