Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely month-end and year-end closings.
- Prepare, analyze, and present monthly financial statements and reports to senior management.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely billing and payment.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and reconciliations of bank accounts and credit card statements.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial processes and control systems.
- Provide financial guidance and support to non-financial departments regarding budgeting and forecasting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA designation preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
