Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and expense reporting.
- Conduct financial audits and assist external auditors during the annual review process.
- Provide detailed financial reporting and insights to management to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA certification or CPA candidate status is a strong plus.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in general accounting or a related financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, internal controls, and auditing standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
