Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and local business tax returns.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger accounts.
- Process payroll accurately and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Reconcile credit card statements and handle month-end close procedures efficiently.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial reporting processes and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel (advanced functions required).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interactions.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
